When asked who had the greatest influence on her life, she could only name two people: her mother and Sadhguru. She said, “as a kid, I was more close to my mother and I used to observe all her actions, she was a spiritual lady. She never forced me to be very religious but she used to take me to temples and holy places to pray. This became a routine for me and this made me feel good in my heart. I slowly got into reading books of Sadhguru and they changed my perspective of looking at things around me. Mom and I frequently take trips to the Isha foundation in Coimbatore which is our happy place to be in”.
A place that influenced me most? VIT, like many other students would have said, this college is the place that was like fresh page in their life. I have met the most beautiful people inside out and made most beautiful memories. Each corner of this college has a story to tell which is very interesting, no one will bore you, it's full of life.

“I love the atmosphere here in VIT, all girls getting ready in morning trying to make it to their class. Most of them miss their breakfast, they quickly come to my shop to buy some snacks to have it in their way. And sometimes few of the lovely girls come help me in selling during the peak hours, they take out their free time after classes spending with us talking about how their day went and more”. When asked abour some miracle that happened to her "I still remember that moment of realization" she sighed. When asked about her early life, she said "I lived a normal life and my parents worked hard so to make a living and to send me and my sister to school. After my schooling, I went to Chennai to pursue higher studies. But I had to end it after passing of my father, My mother couldn't afford the education, so I had to return back home as I was left with no other option. I started taking up small jobs to run the house. I got married and it was a different phase of my life. My husband supported me in every work that I did. When I was 2 months pregnant, I had a dream, I was holding a baby and walking somewhere. 7 months later, I gave birth to my son and after some time has passed I had a moment, there was this sudden remembrance of the dream i had, felt like a dejavu. He was looking exactly like the way I had seen him in my dream. I'm an avid believer of god and this felt like something god had blessed me personally. Now I have 2 children to look after and working hard as a shopkeeper trying to earn decent money to see my children have a happy future."

Toward the end of 2021, during the lockdown, I finally had the chance to sit down and speak with my uncle (my father's brother). This encounter definitely changed my way of thinking, I had one of the most eye-opening moments in my life out of one random meet. My uncle began by talking about his time in college and his late twenties. At this time, my uncle was constantly looking for methods to get around any challenges he had in life. He claimed that even his parents and friends used to refer to him as a cunning individual since he never took any risks and frequently took short paths.
One day, he had a near-death experience at the age of 32 when a deadly snake bit him as he was strolling through the village's farmlands. He was fortunately with his friends and they immediately rushed him to the hospital and took care of him. As he was gradually losing consciousness, my uncle believed his life was over and everything flashed in his mind. Luckily, the physicians were able to remove the poison from his body and he was saved from any more danger. He left his position as an engineer at a top company to follow his passion for sales and marketing. He is glad for the decision he made because it helped him learn a lot, which allowed him to start his own manufacturing business and live a happy and satisfied life. And I think VIT is the right place as it helped me push my limits, I met the right people at the right time who taught me many lessons. This place has widened my horizons and I feel thankful for the guidance I got from my proffessors to pursue my dreams. I used to hate engineering once upon a time felt that this was my fate and I had to go accordingly, but later I realised that we had to enjoy every moment we had and taking risks is essential for a person's self discovery and for living a life without regrets.

"It's amazing how a small change can have such a significant influence on your life," she said. “I grew up in a loving household who just cared about my happiness. I never had to work hard, and everything in my life was as simple and lovely as any other kid might imagine. As a young child, I had ambitious goals and fantasised about studying hard. I had always wanted to be a police officer, but I quickly realised it would never happen as my family couldn't afford my higher studies. At the age of 17, I got married, which changed the course of my life. My husband turned out to be an alcoholic and quit working. It was very hard to live, I had to take all the responsibility and learn everything while I was still a teenager to run the house. I started accepting any job that was offered and gave it my all”.
She responded, "This is the times when you recall your family and how they provided you with a life without any hardships," when asked about it. “I have two kids now, but I couldn't provide them the same upbringing that I had.
“I still work really hard to support my family and make a life and VIT made it possible by giving this chance. To ensure that they won't have any problems in the future, I want to educate them and make them independent. I want to see my children happy, provide them the life they deserve, and wait until they fulfil their aspirations”, she concludes.

"People always say, their mom has been their inspiration, nobody can love you more than your mom and dad. I never felt the love of my mom. My parents were divorced when I was a kid and my mom left me. I grew up with my father who taught me everything about life but never told me about my who my mom was. When I was 14 years old , my dad also gave up on me and left me in my grandparents house. I knew that I had to obey their rules and was living in silence while studying hard to be independent. There was this point of time i couldn't stop thinking about her, I wanted to see her. The sudden urge in me to see her started. I started asking my relatives about her whereabouts but all I got to know was that she was working as a teacher in a school in Chennai. I visited 3 to 4 schools a day but could not find her. God had to show mercy on me! I contacted one of my aunt who was my mom's old friend. Luckily she gave me her number and the school she worked. Alas all the hard work didn't go in vain! I visited the school next day as I couldn't sleep the whole night. I went there and saw her from a distance and tears rolled down my eyes. I wanted to run and hug her and say " mom, I've missed you". But I had to wait for the day, 25th March, her birthday. I wanted to surprise her on that day. 2 days were left and I couldn't sleep out of excitement. The next day I went to see her again and followed to her house. To my suprise, she was married again and had a kid and was living a happy life. So many thoughts ran in my mind the next day. But I decided to do it! That night I took a cake to surprise her in the midnight, stood in front of her house and rang the bell. She opened it and I saw tears in her eyes. I asked do u remember me, and she said " how can I forget my own son?" I went and hugged her and wished her a happy birthday. She introduced the family to me and said " I never imagined I would see you again". When asked what is the one thing you cannot forget in your life he said, "The day I saw her was the happiest day of my life when I reunited with my new family. Today even I can tell everyone, I have a mom and I know how her love feels like!"
