  • Technology tower (TT)

  • Foodys

  • Mahatma Gandhi block (MGB)

     

     

I Personally like Technology Tower(TT) ,because most of my classes happen here and I spend plenty of hours in this block. 

There are many memories from this block and it introduced many friends to me.

Most of my engineering life happened here and we learnt a lot in this block. So, I like TT.

The labs and incubated startup offices are in TT.

There are a number of incubated startup offices under the business cell and all these startups are funded by VIT. 

These cabins are in TT and i also like the shape and structure of this building. It's different from the other buildings . 

TT and Foodys, these are the two places where I made a lot of friends and had a lot of fun. 

Foodys is the place where we socialize with different people from different places and branches and 

they turn out to be good friends in no time.

 I can tell i spent the best days of my life here.  

We do many interesting things in foodies. As we are part of music club, we play music often in the evenings and also conduct events.

 Finally, MGB is one of the unique buildings in VIT. It is hard to understand for me. 

Even though it is complex, i like the way they built it.

The hostel is my favourite place of mine. I am from Kerala. 

So, I go home once a semester, so this is like my home now. 

Most of the time I spend here in my room after my classes are over. 

This hostel gave me a lot of friends who are like family. 

I have a lot of memories with them. 

We play games together, watch movies together and 

discuss the incidents that happened the entire day and support each other during the tough times. 

So personally, I feel hostel is the best place. The balconies are my favourite spots in the hostel. 

This is the place where we meet new people and we get a good view of the whole campus  and listen to songs by looking at that beautiful view .

We meet new people on the balconies and the night canteen is also the favourite spot of mine as it fulfills my night cravings and 

the best place to chat with people. 

When i leave this hostel I will miss all the friends and fun for sure. 

The overnight preparations for exams and last minute DA’s we do  together with our friends and roommates will

 be critical as well as funny. 

I like outdoor stadium because we played a lot of cricket and football matches there. 

Hostel days in VIT will be the most memorable days.

  • Silver jubilee towers(SJT)

  • Library

  • Men’s hostel

 

I like Silver jubilee Tower(SJT) ,because Most of my classes are here and there are many labs in this block 
which are used by students from different branches .
It was inaugurated when VIT completed 25 years ago, hence it was named Silver jubilee. 
One of the specialities of the block is at the angle it is built, 
which is to attenuate the noise of passing by trains so that no noise enters the classroom. 
 I’m also part of the ROVER X group. We are currently working  on software used in cars and its funded by VIT. 
We work until 4 am in the morning voluntarily . 
Me and my team spend more time here in SJT compared to other students . 
We spend our time here more than the time we spend in a hostel. After SJT, I spend most of my time in the library. 
This is the best place to study and work on my research. 
There are plenty of books and options for every subject and topic which are quite useful for my research and project. 
So, SJT and Library are the two places in VIT that I like the most and we are also much connected to this place .

I am from a rural village near Karaikudi. 

 

The starting days at VIT were tough for me to manage with students from various states speaking different languages. 

 

After that, I learned new languages and tried to communicate with students. 

 

VIT is good at maintaining their technology side, so it is easy for us to mark attendance and keep records properly about students. 

 

VIT is also providing a safe environment for students as well as employees working here.

 

I also like the Anna auditorium in VIT. 

 

The seating arrangements and infrastructure are good over there.

 

As a supervisor it’s also my responsibility to look after safety of students and monitor their movements,

 

this is done for their safety and security purpose.

 

I personally feel being a block supervisor is great responsibility.

 

We also take care of students and their well being . 

 

We block supervisors are always available to solve any problem of the student belongs to our hostel and have a good rapport with students.

  • VIT landscaping

In VIT, I am working since 2016.

 

I like the way of landscaping done here, which prevents us from this hot climate. 

 

VIT is giving more importance in maintaining the surroundings. 

  

I like students studying over here. 

 

They are humble to me and I am very happy while serving food to them.

 

VIT has paid us salary and helped us greatly during the COVID pandemic. 

 

I have a good relation with students here and we all the mess staff try our best to make them feel like its home. 

 

We maintain good hygiene and quality while preparing and serving food.

 

I personally like this spacing of dining area ,it can accommodate large number of students at the same time.

 

Students here are also well disciplined.  

 

We also ask the review from students about the food and maintenance and make the changes according to students demand.

KARTHIKEYAN SECURITY GUARD Locations They Like in VIT Plaza corner(Fountain in front of Main Block) Hello, my name is Karthikeyan, and I've been a security guard at VIT for 13 years. The area in VIT called Plaza Corner, which is on the other side of MGR Block, is my favourite. Although it has been refurbished, I prefer the original fountain's three-horse form. Although it had a very distinctive look, the horses are currently kept inside the girls' dorm. We'll be given our responsibility there when we're punished. It is sentimental. Additionally, I appreciate that area because it is surrounded by many trees.   John Greetan Service Incharge - Q-Block, Mens Hostel Locations They Like in VIT Park near A - Block Q Block Courtyard Hello,  I am John Green, I work as supervisor of a cleaning company which got a contract at VIT. So, I have been working here for 13 years. My favorite place in VIT is the park near - Block men's hostel. There is a lot of seating space and birds are chirping all the time. VIT is well maintained with trees and watered regularly, so it's green throughout the year. So, there are always flocks of birds roaming in VIT. I heard that some birds that migrate come through VIT as it's a patch of Greenland in an arid zone. Another place I like is the courtyard in the Q - Block. It is filled with grass and seating. I like how simple the seating is designed. Even though the block is generally noisy, the courtyard is always silent and calm. It's a good relaxing place that I enjoy.
